UoS Organizes Seminar on “Scholarship Pathways to Study Abroad”

The Department of Physics, University of Sargodha, organized a seminar titled “Scholarship Pathways to Study Abroad” at the MFKNBS Auditorium.
The session aimed to guide students about post-graduation opportunities in the physical sciences and practical ways to secure international scholarships.
The event drew an audience of over 250 students from various departments, reflecting the University’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and providing global learning opportunities for its students.
Welcoming the participants, Dr. Muhammad Anwar-ul-Haq, Chairman, Department of Physics, emphasized the importance of exploring international education pathways. He appreciated the efforts of Dr. Khalid Naseer and Dr. Sultan Mahmood Zangi for organizing the seminar, noting that studying abroad not only enhances academic competence but also broadens students’ cultural and professional perspectives.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Sultan Mahmood Zangi discussed a range of international scholarship programs available to Pakistani students, including fully funded opportunities at leading global universities. He encouraged students to pursue their goals with determination and to utilize scholarship platforms that make higher education abroad more accessible.
Dr. Anwar-ul-Haq expressed gratitude to the University leadership — Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Dean Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Aamir Ali, and Director ORIC Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal — for their continued support in promoting academic development and international collaboration.
The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged with the speakers about application procedures and academic planning. Participants widely appreciated the session for its relevance, motivation, and practical insights into shaping their academic futures.
