The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Sargodha, organized a special ceremony at the Vice Chancellor’s Office to honour the faculty members and administrative officers who rendered distinguished services during the 9th Pakistan Industrial Expo 2025.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas distributed shields among the high-performing individuals in recognition of their efforts. The ceremony was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Amir Ali, Director ORIC Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal, Director External Linkages Prof. Dr. Ijaz Asghar Bhatti, Principal College of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Ijaz Rasool Noorka, and Director Institute of Food Sciences Prof. Dr. Mian Anjum Murtaza.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas highlighted the remarkable success of the 9th Pakistan Industrial Expo 2025, jointly organized by Everest International and the University of Sargodha at the Expo Centre Lahore. He noted that the exhibition was a resounding success, attracting great appreciation from local participants as well as delegates and industrialists from China.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s economic progress depends on strengthening industrial production and boosting exports, which is only possible through strong academia–industry linkages. He added that the recent Expo was a prime example of this collaboration, where over 200 Chinese and more than 200 Pakistani companies participated, showcasing the growing international recognition of Pakistani products and the continuous increase in exports.
The Vice Chancellor also lauded Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal and his team at ORIC for their dedicated efforts. He said that the University of Sargodha’s stall drew significant attention due to its impressive display of patented innovations from fields including engineering, agriculture, science, biotechnology, food products, media, and fine arts.
Speaking on the occasion, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan appreciated the consistent participation of the University of Sargodha in the Industrial Expo over the past four years under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, which has yielded tangible results. He expressed confidence that such practical and impactful initiatives would continue in the future.
