UoS Distributes Essential Aid to 760 Flood-Affected Families in Muzaffargarh

Demonstrating a strong spirit of humanitarian support, the University of Sargodha organized relief camps in flood-affected areas of Southern Punjab, including Muzaffargarh, Mochiwali, and Khan Garh.
The initiative aimed to provide assistance to affected families and show solidarity during this challenging time.
The relief operation was conducted under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaiser Abbas, with contributions of PKR 4.5 million raised from university faculty, students, and staff.
A special team led by Director Sports Mahar Ahmad Khan Heral distributed essential supplies, including food and daily necessities, to approximately 760 families in the affected areas.
During the mission, the team also met Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh, Usman Tahir Jappa, and District Police Officer Ghazanfar Abbas Shah, who appreciated the university’s efforts and assured full cooperation for the relief activities.
Speaking at the relief camps, Director Sports Mahar Ahmad Khan Heral highlighted that the University of Sargodha has always upheld the tradition of national solidarity and humanitarian service by taking tangible steps to assist flood victims. He further acknowledged the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaiser Abbas and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan in guiding the university’s social initiatives.
The flood-affected residents expressed their gratitude to the University of Sargodha for its generous support, stating that the university’s efforts not only provided immediate relief but also boosted their morale in these difficult times.
The relief team also included Resident Officer Dr. Faheem Arshad, Director Students Affairs Dr. Mahmood Al-Hasan, and Director Riaz Shad, Co-Curricular Forum Dr. Munir Gujjar, who actively participated in the distribution efforts.
