The 12th Convocation of the University of Sargodha concluded on its third day, with degrees awarded to graduates from the Faculties of Medical and Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Sciences, and Social Sciences, marking the successful completion of the University’s annual academic celebrations.

The ceremony was graced by the Minister for Communication and Works, Mr. Sohaib Ahmad Bharath, as the Chief Guest, and was presided over jointly with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas. The proceedings commenced with the traditional academic procession, comprising the Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Deans of the respective faculties, Heads of Departments, and senior university officials.

Addressing the convocation, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas highlighted the University’s continued progress in academic excellence, research productivity, and institutional development. He emphasized the University’s commitment to producing skilled, ethical, and socially responsible graduates, which play a critical role in national development.

Addressing the graduates, Chief Guest Mr. Sohaib Ahmad Bharath said that the success of students was a source of pride for their parents and teachers. He congratulated Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas for transforming the University of Sargodha into a progressive and quality-driven institution. 

Expressing happiness at seeing young graduates, he especially appreciated the large number of female students, calling it a positive sign for society. He emphasized that differences of opinion should never turn into hatred or division and urged graduates to pursue their dreams with confidence, courage, and determination. 

Encouraging students not to wait for jobs, he stressed innovation and self-reliance, stating that youth have the power to bring positive change in society. He also remarked that his own efforts and public service were guided by the vision and leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and advised graduates to remain humble, respect others, and always remember the role of their parents and teachers in their success.
