University of Sargodha Hosts Workshop on Stress Management to Promote Mental Well-being

The Career Development Center at the University of Sargodha, in collaboration with the Women Development Center hosted a one-day workshop titled “From Stress to Strength: One Day to Reset”, aimed at equipping students and educators with effective tools for stress management and emotional resilience.
Organized under CDC’s ongoing Skill Development Program, the initiative was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 – Good Health and Well-being, highlighting the University’s commitment to fostering mental health awareness in academic settings.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Dr. Uzma Ashiq, Chairperson, Department of Social Work, University of the Punjab, and a distinguished expert in mental health and social well-being. During her engaging and insightful session, Dr. Ashiq shared practical strategies to manage stress, develop emotional intelligence, and strengthen coping mechanisms. The session emphasized the importance of mental wellness in both personal and professional spheres, especially for youth and academia.
Held at the CDC, the event drew an enthusiastic participation of around 100 students from the University of Sargodha, along with faculty members from various institutions. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged open dialogue, self-reflection, and hands-on learning, creating a safe and supportive environment for personal development.
At the conclusion of the workshop, all participants were awarded certificates of participation in recognition of their engagement and dedication to improving their mental well-being. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a collective pledge to prioritize emotional health as an essential component of academic and personal success.
