The University of Sargodha has continued its fundraising campaign to support flood-affected families, with a relief camp set up at the Office of the Controller of Examinations. Faculty members, officers, and staff actively participated in the drive, contributing generously to the cause.
The camp was attended by Controller of Examinations Dr. Rehana Ilyas, along with Director Student Affairs Dr. Mehmood ul Hassan, Chairperson Department of Psychology Dr. Najma Iqbal, Director Riaz Shad Co-Curricular Forum Dr. Muhammad Munir Gujar, Chief Security Officer Col. (R) Ishtiaq Ahmad, Chairman Department of Sociology Dr. Shehzad Khawar Mushtaq, and a large number of staff members.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rehana Ilyas emphasized that helping the flood victims is a moral, national, and humanitarian responsibility. β€œThis is the time to stand with them. We must be willing to sacrifice some of our own comforts to support these families in distress. Even a small contribution can bring hope to their lives,” she said.
She urged students, faculty, and the local community to come forward with donations so that immediate relief and essential supplies could be provided to the victims.
The fundraising campaign will continue across different departments and institutions in the coming days to ensure maximum support for the affected families.
