Visits

A high-level delegation from COMSATS University Islamabad made a special visit to the University of Sargodha. The delegation was led by the Rector of COMSATS University, Professor Dr. Raheel Qamar, and also inaugurated the newly established ORIC Office at the university.
The delegation included:  
Director of COMSATS University Islamabad Wah Campus, Professor Dr. Junaid Mughal; Controller of Examinations, Professor Dr. Sajjad A. Madani; Registrar, Dr. Faheem A. Qureshi; Treasurer, Muhammad Azam; Director of COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yar; and Director of COMSATS University Islamabad Attock Campus, Professor Dr. Abrar Hussain.
Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Professor Dr. Qaisar Abbas, briefed the delegation members on the ongoing programs at the university. He informed them that the University of Sargodha currently ranks 1st among general universities in Punjab. In the last four years, the university has registered nearly 90 patents, which is a major achievement for the institution. 
He further stated that the past four years have been full of achievements for the University of Sargodha. The reforms introduced in the institution have placed it among Pakistan’s top 10 universities. Under the One Health project, we are leading all universities across Pakistan, and its far-reaching results are now evident.
On this occasion, COMSATS University Rector Professor Dr. Raheel Qamar said that in the present era, only those universities can sustain themselves that educate and train their students in line with modern demands, and whose faculty continuously upgrade themselves according to the times. 
He added that the goals achieved by the University of Sargodha in the last four years are not only extraordinary but also serve as a guiding light for other universities. The University of Sargodha is a shining star on the educational horizon, and public sector universities should emulate it. 
He further said that universities that collaborate with higher education institutions and adopt a vision of collective progress not only bring about revolution in their society but also become a source of development and stability for their nation.
During the visit, COMSATS University Rector Professor Dr. Raheel Qamar inaugurated the newly built state-of-the-art ORIC Office and appreciated the services of ORIC Director Professor Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal. 
The delegation also toured the University Multi-Purpose Hall, University Gym, Pakistan Institute of China Studies, One Health Center, University TV, Waheed Wain Incubation Center, Wazir Agha Library, and the University Facilitation Center, and termed them aligned with 21st-century requirements.
On this occasion, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Registrar Waqar Ahmad, University Deans, Directors, and senior administrative officers were also present.
