BISE Sargodha chairman visits UoS, praises academic reforms and innovation

Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha, Abbas Haider Gondal, visited the University of Sargodha (UoS) and met Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas to discuss the university's academic, research and development initiatives.
During the meeting, the vice chancellor briefed the visiting chairman on the university's ongoing academic, research and infrastructure projects, saying UoS had emerged as one of Pakistan's leading research-intensive public universities over the past three years.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas said the university has been committed to equipp students with the skills required to become productive and responsible citizens. He added that the university is considering a proposal to offer free education to the top five position holders of the BISE Sargodha examinations as part of its efforts to encourage academic excellence.
Mr. Abbas Haider Gondal appreciated the university's progress, saying it was encouraging to see UoS aligning its academic programmes with contemporary educational and societal needs. He lauded the reforms introduced under the leadership of Prof Abbas, describing them as significant steps towards institutional development and quality enhancement.
During the visit, the BISE chairman visited several university facilities, including the Wazir Agha Library, University Cafeteria, One Health Unit, University History Wall, Waheed Wain Incubation Centre, UoS TV, Zubaida Agha Art Gallery, Facilitation Centre, Gymnasium and various academic departments.
Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Director Academics Dr. Uzma Shahzadi, Chairman of the Department of Communication and Media Studies Dr. Mudassar Hussain Shah, and Chairperson of the Institute of Art and Design Maryam Saif were also present.
