Dr. Tariq Mahmood is serving as an Assistant Professor in Department of Forestry, University of Sargodha. His
area of specialization is Forestry, wildlife, watershed and rangeland management, GIS/RS. He has worked on
modeling spatio-temporal dynamic of timber line in relation to prevalent climate change in Pakistan using
GIS/RS. He has 24 years long working experience in Forestry research, training and education. During these 24
years he has served in various capacities at Punjab forest department, Punjab forestry research institute
Gatawala, Pakistan forest institute Peshawar, University of Haripur, Islamabad Wildlife Management Board and
University of Sargodha.
