The Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) was established in 2010 as part of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Sargodha. It offers teaching, clinical practice and research in Allied Health Sciences and serves students, scholars, and professionals interested in Physical Therapy, Medical Laboratory Technology and Medical Imaging Technology. The Department is dedicated to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Prepares the graduates to become a licensed physiotherapist capable of diagnosing and treating movement dysfunctions caused by injury, disease, or ageing. The curriculum emphasises clinical reasoning, therapeutic interventions, diagnostic imaging, and evidence-based practice. • Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BS MLT): The BS in Medical Laboratory Technology (BS-MLT) degree program is designed to bridge the gap between medical science and clinical diagnosis. Medical Laboratory Technologists are vital members of modern healthcare teams, working behind the scenes to perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological analyses. By utilizing state-of-the-art automated analyzers and high-precision diagnostic instruments, our graduates provide clinicians with the accurate, evidence-based data required to detect diseases early, monitor treatments, and save lives. • Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology (BS MIT): BS Medical Imaging Technology is a dynamic, technology-driven degree that bridges medical science and advanced diagnostic innovation. It empowers students to master modern imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography and Angiography etc for accurate disease detection and diagnosis.
