University of Sargodha Regularizes 518 Staff and Faculty

The University of Sargodha has issued a notification of regularizing a total
of 518 staff and faculty members under “The Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018” after the
approval from the Chancellor, the Higher Education Department of the Punjab and the University
Syndicate.
A prestigious ceremony held in the Malik Firoz Khan Noon Auditorium, UoS on Friday was attended by
the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Registrar, Deans, Directors, Incharges, and a number of
faculty and staff members.
Among the newly regularized members, 208 contractual employees were from Grade 1-4, 127
employees from Grade 5-16, and 74 belonged to the Grade 17-19. In addition to the contractual
employees who have been regularized, 64 temporary individuals from Grade 1-4 and 45 from Grade 5-
16 have also been transitioned from temporary to regular positions, marking a significant milestone in
their professional journey.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas expressed his optimism about the long-term benefits
of this decision. “Regularizing these staff and faculty members not only recognizes their hard work and
dedication but also ensures the continued growth and prosperity of our institution. I believe that a
motivated workforce is the key to achieve academic and research goals.”
The Registrar University of Sargodha Waqar Ahmed on behalf of the faculty and staff presented the
souvenir to Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas in recognition of his leadership, decision making and commitment to
create a stable work environment.
