A Short Video Competition on Occasion of 71st Anniversary of Pak-China Diplomatic Relations

To mark the 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, Pakistan Institute of China Studies (PICS) organized a short video message competition among the students of the University of Sargodha. The purpose of this competition was to create awareness and deepen understanding of the students regarding the significance and importance of relations between Pakistan and China.


The two countries established diplomatic relations on May 21, 1951; and Since then, China and Pakistan have witnessed smooth development of friendly and good neighborly relations and promotion of multifaceted cooperation.


During the past 71 years, these relations have been growing from strength to strength and have matured into an all-encompassing Strategic Cooperative Partnership. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which is a flagship project of China’s BRI has also added a new long-term economic dimension to our relationship.


The students depicted 71 years of Pak-China diplomatic relations in their video messages. Sixteen top videos were shortlisted from a number of entries, and the shortlisted videos were then evaluated by a panel of three judges from the Department of Arts and Design, University of Sargodha. The respected judges announced the following three students’ videos as securing first, second and third positions respectively.


1. Arbaaz Khan student of 8th semester from the Department of CS and IT-UOS
2. Taqdees Zahra student of MSc 1st Semester from the Department of Sociology and
Criminology-UOS
3. Tooba Firdos student of 6th semester from Department of English-UOS
