The Department of Urdu language and literature offers a tradition of aesthetic aroma and the significance of a national language as a catalyst of national integrity. We are committed to inculcate skills of critical inquiry and analytical vision in our students to prepare them for playing a key role in the wider social, political, and ideological environment. We channelize our activities to ensure development in the pool of our national languages by eliminating the threat of language endangerment to preserve our indigenous culture. The department is acclaimed to have published several books and research articles on theoretical and applied literary studies.
