Overview

The Department of Entomology at the University of Sargodha was established in 2007 with the objective of delivering high-quality education and conducting research in the field of insect science. It offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in entomology, covering diverse areas such as insect biology, ecology, molecular biology, urban entomology, biopesticides, and more. The department comprises four full-time regular faculty members, two visiting faculty members, and one lab assistant. It is equipped with functional laboratories that are equipped with modern facilities and instruments. Over the years, the department has successfully graduated more than 341 students, including over 122 M.Sc (Hons.) graduates and 28 PhDs. Additionally, it has published more than 400 research papers in both national and international journals. To further enhance the academic and research skills of its students and faculty, the department has established collaborations with various national and international institutes.
